Melissa is originally from Farmingdale, New York. She is currently a senior captain on the University of Denver women’s lacrosse team where she plays as a mid-fielder. In high school, Melissa was a 2x New York State Finalists, 3x Long Island Champions, 3x Nassau County Champions, and 3x New York State Scholar Athlete Champions at Farmingdale H.S. During the off-season she played for the Long Island Yellow Jackets (4 years) and New York State Empire Team (2 years).
Denver Summit Lacrosse was founded by the University of Denver Women’s Lacrosse coaching staff: Head Coach Liza Kelly and Assistant Coach Rachel Shuck. Combined, these women have experience with top Division I programs, NCAA tournaments, NCAA Championships, and US National Teams.
Additional Denver Summit coaches will include current and former Division I and III players from several elite institutions across the country, as well as current University of Denver players. From this depth of experience, our staff can provide prospective college players with insight into the many facets of the college process, from recruiting through the daily life of a student-athlete.
